01 Sanchong Supper and Karaoke: After the Chongxin Bridge Market Packs Up 2026-09-07 — Sanchong — Sanchong supper and karaoke, sorted by the clock: the market under Chongxin Bridge is a morning market, nothing at night; Sanhe Night Market on Zhongyang North Road runs to around midnight, under NT$200 a head; after eleven the izakaya take over on Chongyang Road Sec. 3 and Chongxin Road Sec. 2; karaoke sits on Zhengyi North Road and Chongyang Road Sec. 1, rooms open till dawn; foot massage on Longmen Road closes the night. MRT Taipei Bridge and Cailiao are both walkable; if you drink, call a designated driver. → 02 Yonghe by Dingxi Station: Bistros and Late Eats in the Shuanghe Living Circle 2026-09-07 — Yonghe — Yonghe late-night eats drawn as three rings around MRT Dingxi: within 300 meters, the soy milk shop and booking-only spas on Yonghe Road Sec. 2; within a kilometer, the izakaya strip on Yongzhen Road, bistros on Ren'ai and Dehe Roads, Lehua Night Market on Yongping Road and the KTV on Yonghe Road Sec. 1; one to three stops out, Zhonghe's Jing'an and Nanshijiao. Market supper NT$200-300 a head, izakaya NT$500-700. Do not drive into Yonghe's lanes; if you drink, call a cab. → 03 Jiufen and Ruifang at Night: After the Tourists Leave 2026-09-03 — Jiufen's night is short: shops on Jishan Street pull their shutters around 7 pm on weekdays, around 8 on weekends, per each shop's posted hours. The teahouses on Shuqi Road stay open later, minimum charge from about NT$300 a person. Night views are from the upper stone steps and the lookout stretch of Qiche Road, with fishing-boat lights offshore. Get back via bus 965 or 1062 or the local train from TRA Ruifang Station, last departures per posted timetables; Minsheng Street by Ruifang Station covers the late bite. → 04 Wugu and Taishan: The Supper Belt Beside the Industrial Park 2026-09-03 — Late-night eats in Wugu and Taishan come down to two roads: Chengtai Road and the Wugong Road area for Wugu, Mingzhi Road Sec. 1-2 for Taishan. Shifts end around 5:30; stir-fry joints fill by six and close around 10:30, NT$100-180 a plate; savory rice porridge and noodle stalls run into the small hours; soy milk shops fire up around 4 am. For a drink, ride 10 minutes to the Fu Jen area in Xinzhuang. → 05 Tucheng and Shulin After Dark: The Non-Tourist Route 2026-09-01 — Tucheng and Shulin have no bar street and no nightclubs. Locals do it two ways: on the way home along Sec. 1–4 Zhongyang Rd and Yumin Rd off MRT Haishan–Yongning, or by TRA Shulin Station on Zhongshan Rd and Bo'ai St; or a planned trip for Xingren Garden Night Market on market days, izakaya-style joints, and NT$600–900 foot massages. For drinks, Banqiao is 10–15 minutes by MRT. → 06 Xizhi After Work: The Tech Park Exit Route and Late-Night Eats 2026-09-01 — Where to eat after work in Xizhi and how late does it run? The tech park on Xintai 5th Road Sec. 1 empties at 6:30; walk to Xike Station or ride one stop to Xizhi Station for stir-fry and fried chicken on Zhongzheng and Datong Roads, NT$300-500 per person; finish with a foot massage on Kangning Street or around Zhangshuwan at 9:30, NT$500-700 for 40 minutes. Last-train and taxi notes included. → 07 Fisherman's Wharf at Night: A Tamsui Sea-Breeze Evening 2026-08-27 — Tamsui — Is Fisherman's Wharf still worth an evening? Yes, if you time it. Arrive forty minutes before sunset, stay an hour after Lover's Bridge lights up, leave before nine, take one drink at the boardwalk bistro, then move on to the Old Street or Xinshi 1st Road.
